Product Description

This silicon bronze casting grain is fabricated from high-quality primary metal sources to ensure consistent performance in jewellery casting and small-scale metal casting applications. Each batch is produced to deliver reliable fluidity, ductility, hardness, colour consistency, and controlled solidification β€” all critical factors for successful lost wax and investment casting.

Often referred to as Bronze S, this copper-based silicon bronze alloy is lighter in colour than traditional bronzes and is known for its excellent tight grain solidification characteristics. These properties help produce clean, well-defined castings with reduced surface porosity, making it particularly suitable for detailed jewellery components, findings, and small sculptural work.

The grain is supplied in polished granule form, allowing for clean melting, accurate weighing, and efficient crucible loading. Granule sizes are approximately 12mm and below, with random grain sizing for optimal melt consistency.

Alloy Composition

  • Copper (Cu): 95%
  • Silicon (Si): 4%
  • Manganese (Mn): 1%

Melting & Pouring Information
