The Pepetools Ultra 130mm Flat Rolling Mill is a heavy-duty, professional jewellery rolling mill designed for reducing metal sheet thickness, producing thin metal foil, and preparing wider metal stock for jewellery fabrication and silversmithing. Featuring large 65 mm diameter hardened steel rollers and a 4:1 reduction gearbox, it provides excellent leverage, precision, and consistent rolling performance when working with gold, silver, copper, brass, and other suitable non-ferrous metals.
With a full 130 mm flat rolling area, the Ultra Mill provides significantly greater working width than smaller 90 mm models, making it particularly useful for jewellers and silversmiths working with larger sheets, wider metal strips, and more demanding fabrication projects. The increased roller diameter also provides a larger contact area and improved rolling performance when reducing metal thickness.
Manufactured with a high-strength ductile frame and precision-machined carbon steel rollers, the Ultra Mill is engineered for demanding workshop use. Rolling Mill Operation & Care
For best results, reduce metal thickness gradually over multiple passes rather than attempting large reductions in a single pass. Anneal the metal as required between rolling stages to restore workability, reduce the risk of cracking, and minimise unnecessary strain on the rolling mill.
Keep the rollers clean and free from debris to protect their precision-polished surfaces. Avoid rolling hardened steel or other unsuitable materials that could damage the rollers. The rolling mill should be securely mounted to a sturdy workbench before operation.
Important Information
This is a flat rolling mill with a full 130 mm rolling surface. It does not include square wire grooves or half-round ring shank profiles. For customers requiring both sheet rolling and wire forming capabilities, a combination rolling mill may be more suitable.
The maximum roller opening of 5 mm represents the maximum separation between the rollers and does not mean that every material can be reduced from this thickness in a single pass. The minimum achievable sheet thickness depends on the metal, its preparation, and the rolling technique used.
