Jump-rings are used to make or connect together chain sections, or finish jewellery ends. If opened with a pair of pliers in one sideways move (& closed same way) they retain their shape & metal does not fatigue/break. NOTE: these are precious metal & can be soldered (including gold-filled, when done with care!)
